Gopher Tackle Manufacturing Company
Ray Stephens and his long-time girlfriend, Stacey Manitz, have worked 30 plus years in the manufacturing sector. They also share a passion for fishing. When the opportunity to purchase Gopher Tackle Mfg. in 2020 came up, the time was right to switch gears and follow their dreams.
The company started operation some 40 years ago by founder, Conrad "Connie" Peterson, in Cuyuna, Minnesota. Conrad was an engineer for a major computer company and his favorite hobby was fishing. When fishing tournaments sprang up in the 1970's, his fishing knowledge and ability helped to develop many new concepts in lure design to gain the winning edge.
Ray and Stacey moved the business to Milford, Iowa in 2021, The tooling, casting, painting, and packaging is all done in house. They are fully committed to customer service and quality. They strongly believe that shipments must be made in a timely manner, and they will provide you with a good quality product.
